Why I Became A Healthful Living Teacher: I grew up in East Hartford, CT. I attended college at Keene State College in New Hampshire and graduated in May of 2015. While attending college at Keene, I was a member of the softball team. Ever since I was a little girl up until today, physical fitness and sport have played a huge role in my life. One of my greatest strengths is motivating and encouraging all students to participate in their fullest ability, while showing respect and sportsmanship at the same time. These strengths were passed down to me from a line of wonderful PE teachers, that made me want to purse Physical Education.
Athletics: I was born and raised an Irish Step Dancer. I performed and competed in Irish Step Dancing for about 15 years. Softball, Soccer and Swimming were my sports in high school. When heading off to college, I knew I wanted to focus on one sport, so I chose Softball. I played Softball at the collegiate level for 2 years. I became injured at the end of my junior year, which resulted in me not playing my senior year. Instead, I became a student assistant for the team, and assisted the coaching staff.
Life: I will be getting married at the end of July to my Fiance Mike. We have one dog together, a black labrador named Lacey. The two of us enjoy traveling, kayaking, hiking and making visits up to CT to visit family!
